Post family photos safely
Strip coordinates before publishing pictures taken at home, school, or a child’s regular activity.
Share the picture, not the location
Check what a photo quietly reveals, then create a private copy before posting or messaging it.
Files never leave your device — processed 100% in your browser. Free, no sign-up.
They stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
A photo metadata remover separates the visible picture from descriptive information added by a phone, camera, scanner, or editor. That information can include latitude and longitude, the original capture date, camera and lens names, exposure settings, copyright, captions, and the application used for editing. Social platforms sometimes remove parts of it, but email, cloud drives, forums, and direct file transfers may preserve the original data.
Using this photo metadata remover before sharing gives you direct control. The page shows recognized fields in plain English, warns clearly when GPS coordinates are present, and creates a cleaned copy in your browser. JPEG, PNG, and WebP files are rewritten without sending the picture away. The original remains untouched in your photo library, so you can keep the useful catalog information privately while sharing a separate clean version.
Photo cleanup covers the major descriptive standards used by cameras, editors, newsrooms, and image libraries.

Remove creator and software details that are irrelevant to feedback on the actual image.
Capture dates and location sequences can reveal where you are and when a property is empty.
Create a neutral copy when copyright and caption fields should not accompany a particular delivery.
Use drag and drop or the file button; originals stay in your device storage.
Check GPS, camera, date, software, copyright, and raw fields before cleanup.
Remove supported metadata and save individual files or a locally generated ZIP.
Yes. You can clean up to 20 photos at once with no charge, registration, or download restriction. Each photo must be 50 MB or smaller so the browser can process it reliably.
No. Selection grants this browser tab temporary access to read the files. Processing happens locally, and no photo bytes are uploaded. Closing or reloading the tab clears the current selection and results.
JPEG, PNG, and WebP support active metadata removal. TIFF and many HEIC files can be inspected for EXIF, but a clean download is only offered when the tool can preserve the visible image safely.
The still image can be processed when provided as JPEG or a supported HEIC file. A Live Photo also includes a paired video, which must be inspected separately on the video page. The browser does not merge the pair back into Apple’s library format.
Supported JPEG, PNG, and WebP files retain the existing encoded image payload, dimensions, and visible quality. Some color profiles are metadata too; removing an ICC profile can affect color interpretation, so the interface identifies that category before cleanup.
You can select up to 20 files from an album or folder in one batch. The browser lists every photo separately and creates a ZIP for multiple successful results. Larger batch workflows are intentionally not part of the first release.
